My understanding is that we all possess innately all the attributes, all the powers needed to fulfill God’s purpose for us on this plane and prepare us for transition into the next level, world, etc.  This is our training ground in other words. However Psychic test is something the writings tell us to not consciously or actively develop.  But if someone already possesses such a power how can they stop using it?  For example the Master was reported to have foreseen a  problem in travel to America on the Titanic and for sure he was right. Should he have ignored this inner warning? I don’t think so. Since he is the overall Perfect Exemplar of the Baha’i Revelation then we need to follow his teaching, both what he wrote and how he lived.

The term psychic powers is a general term covering a lot of specifics but again while the Writings prohibit the active development of such powers they also permit the use of spiritual healing which to me is a specific type of psychic power and it is not prohibited.

Take for example the extraordinary powers of animals that seem to sense when a storm is coming long before humans can. We usually do not want to give money to the homeless because we want to hold onto our money. The more that you hold onto your money, the more that you will not see any of it coming back to you.

Think about this: all business is risk. Do you think that people really want to loose millions to start a business in today’s society. I am not talking about a small business, but a large corporation with staff. People who choose to invest in business do so to gain more wealth and to use their gifts and talents to bring money to society. When you give someone a job, you are giving them life. Everyone needs money in today’s society. It is something that we cannot live without. Do you think that business investors would gain any more wealth if they did not take the risk of investing in other businesses? The answer to this is no. We must be like these investors and take a chance. You do not want to take to much of a risk, but you do have to go beyond what you are normally willing to give.

If you do this, you will find that good karma comes back to you and you will be shocked at how much money you will begin to receive. It also depends on your heart and why you are doing this. The more that you give, the more that you will receive. This can be both spiritual and emotional. This is a fact.
